I was born in Manhattan, Kansas in 1945. Thanks to a father who signed on with the US AID program early in his career and a wife with an unusually nomadic career as a lawyer, I have lived in a dozen countries and half-a-dozen states.
In January of 2007, I made the move that triggered this blog, across the big pond to Melbourne, Australia.

Hello John. Good looking blog and a nice story about Uncle Toby’s. It was interesting to read about Australia from an outsider’s perspective.

Halbrook, John DeMay found an 8MM film of yours while going through his stuff in Oregon. Probably shot with that fancy camera you bought in Vancouver. I remain above ground in AA aging and active causing trouble when I can.
